I have submitted 2 about my problem and have not heard back from them at all. you are describing a different problem with Win than I am having with Mac but others over on the TOPAZ forum are also having the same problem I am having and TOPAZ is working on a fix for the problem.

It appears to be the software equivalent of a hardware problem with overheating. 1TB hard drive with 16GB memory and very fast processor. The program will also not open in standalone mode.

Topazlabs asked me to remove all versions of Sharpen AI, close all programs, download the installer without installing/opening the software package, rebooting my PC then opening sharpen AI. Clicking on the "Edit in sharpen AI" create a file copy but the software does not actually open. SharpenAI processes around 8 to10 files without issue and then without warning, just does not open. My process is to open the file in sharpen AI as a plugin and primarily use the Focus mode in the module because I find it works best for my Sony ARW files (which Lightroom does not appear to like much but that it another issue). I upgraded to the latest version of Sharpen AI 2.0.4 a few days ago. I have my GPU disabled as far as Topaz products are concerned because the computer turned into a dog with GPU enabled. If I use masking the program runs but does not result in any sharpening and then crashes. Now that I've installed sharpen 2.0.4 it does not lock up. I'm on an iMac running 10.14.6 that was locking up with Topaz sharpen 2.0.2. I have sent in a Support Request to TOPAZ but no response yet.Ĭurious. I have tried 3 or 4 times with the same result. image did not save in my folder as previously had and I received a TSA* Crash Report. did a mask and applied Stabilize then clicked Save Image. I edit NEF files with C1P12 then Edit With TSAI. the previous versions have all worked fine including masking and saving.
I have TSAI 2.0.4 installed on my Mac 10.14.6. Probably going to have to wait to see what TOPAZ support comes up with. Maybe join in there and get some other more Mac directed community help? PS do you know that Topaz have a community forum and this is the Sharpen AI v2 discussion thread started by the(one of) software developer(s). sharpening not happening and getting crash report.
NB no doubt with some you should do an uninstall.but I do wonder if v2.0.3 can con-exist (in separate installation folders) with v2.0.4 ?
I have for various reasons done just that as needed with other programs and it 'does what it says on the tin'. This characteristic of a prelude to failure, here and at other sites that have large content to DL.None too sure about the way Mac installations do their thing.īut in Windows I would have installed just v2.0.3 over the v2.0.4 installation.

If I download actual offline versions of programmes such as Gigapixel, I get the full 2500KBps bandwidth.ĮDIT I am watching a Dl now and it’s down to 60KB/s. This is NOT causing a failure of the model download. Topaz downloads struggle to get over 300MBPS ERRR 300 _K_BPS and so far have failed several times, after downloading an unknown amount.ĮDIT: whilst trying to download the model at 350KBps I can try downloading another large file and see a total speed of 2500KBps, so the newer download is getting over 2000KBps. I want to download all at once so I can do it in off-peak hours, which has a much larger allowance. My Internet is capable of around 2.5MB/s (20-25 mbps) and is reliable for all sorts of work, from downloads to YT.
I am trying to download models for sharpen AI4 and Gigapixel AI 6. I’ve made a comparison view “ RealESRGAN VS Topaz Gigapixel AI - Imgsli” between RealESRGAN and Gigapixel AI, just click on the zoom and judge it by yourself.

We pay a lot of money for this software and I don’t think it’s fair that it generates such bad results compared to a free AI. Only RealESRGAN and other open source AIs or models gave me good results when scaling real life images. In my opinion, Gigapixel AI need significant improvement, it never gave me good results. The only ones that don’t disappoint me are DeNoise and VEAI which do a great job, much better than other open source AI models. How can you explain this? How can an open source AI with an open source model be so much better than Gigapixel AI? I paid for the 4-pack of software (Sharpen, DeNoise, Gigapixel and Video Enhance AI) about a year ago and the worst ones are definitely Sharpen and Gigapixel.
